Is anyone getting tired of my crappy phone pictures yet?!
Jonah planted me a little flower at preschool for Mother’s Day and it’s doing really well in the kitchen sink window.
Someday soon someone is going to get bored of seeing my pictures and post something else!
I swear we do other things besides play with sidewalk chalk out in our front yard. We do have a back yard but I’d have to go on poop scooping runs every time we went out there and I’m much too lazy I don’t really have the time to do that every time we go out.
I wish these blooms on my trees outside lasted more than a week. Yesterday when it was windy my brother and I looked out the window and it was as if it were snowing.
Since I don’t have any other place to put the ones I like, I’m posting here. The other day we went to see the (almost gone) cherry blossoms at UW, which has become a tradition for us (see other blog).

Here’s another of Mr. J playing with chalk outside. Chalk is a big hit at our house. Except when it goes away after it rains. Then it’s a sad day.
The toddlers are hard to get in focus on the iphone and the wee infants are getting hard as well. Notice the blurry arms.
Not only is the iphone useful for music collection but it’s also a fun artistic tool! I’ve been loving seeing emilyfrances’ iphone photos on facebook and I’ve been doing a little experimenting myself, though I think I have a long way to go to make anything very artistic! I randomly picked a few photo apps to spruce up the photos and so far it’s been really fun.
My main problem with the iphone camera is that I like trying to take pictures of people with it and moving objects just don’t work very well. Even so, I’ve gotten some really cute ones of Jonah (and Jonah and Lila) in the past so I’ll keep trying.
Here are a few experiments so far:
We spent the weekend in Port Angeles and on Saturday when everyone had left the house and Jonah was down for his nap and I’d finished all of the prep work for our BBQ I was left with some free time, which doesn’t happen often. Don’t get me wrong, I do my fair share of relaxing, but at home I always do it to the detriment of something else like cleaning, laundry, or whathaveyou. Being at my Grandma’s though, I didn’t have any of those things. So, instead I made myself some iced coffee, sat outside with my feet in the pool and made a packing list for our upcoming trip.
That half hour was blissful!

Iced Coffee, Yum!
My intent with the photo was to have the cup in sharp focus and water blurry but what turned out was the ground in the sharpest detail with everything else at varying levels of more blurry. I find that when I’m photographing outside it’s impossible to see the finer details of what you’ve captured (or not in this case!) because the sun makes it hard to see the view screen. Oh well, you get the idea!
