Not only is the iphone useful for music collection but it’s also a fun artistic tool! I’ve been loving seeing emilyfrances’ iphone photos on facebook and I’ve been doing a little experimenting myself, though I think I have a long way to go to make anything very artistic! I randomly picked a few photo apps to spruce up the photos and so far it’s been really fun.
My main problem with the iphone camera is that I like trying to take pictures of people with it and moving objects just don’t work very well. Even so, I’ve gotten some really cute ones of Jonah (and Jonah and Lila) in the past so I’ll keep trying.

Here are a few experiments so far:

iphoneography–my new love! there are tons of flickr groups, blogs, and recently there has even been an art exhibition of iPhone photos..so fun! some of the images i’ve seen are astounding. non-blurry people shots are definitely possible, you just have to have good light, hold very still, wait patiently for the right moment, and take lots and lots of photos. not always so easy with a toddler and a newborn, i imagine!

right now my iPhone is really just a camera that i sometimes use as a phone! :) i just sent off to mpix.com for some prints, i’m interested to see how they turn out.

I’ll be interested too! I printed a couple from shutterfly and they were ok (only 4×6) but they weren’t any of the app altered pictures, just regular old ones I took of the kids. But yeah, they really have to be holding still, otherwise it doesn’t work out so well!

i’ll let you know! i’m going to sound all snobby, i’m sure, but i don’t think shutterfly has the best quality prints, anyhow.

haven’t played with it much, but seems like for kid shots the rapid fire or 3-shot burst might be handy. it’s got great reviews and it’s free!
